Project Overview

The client wanted to turn their site into a go-to resource packed with Zoho tips, tricks, and tutorials. The original site felt cluttered and visually outdated, making it hard for users to find the content they needed. My goal was to give the site a fresh, modern look and organize the content in a way that made it easy to explore and navigate.
I led the design work solo, with light project management support from my marketing manager.
Brand Guide

Since the site was centered around reading and sharing articles, I kept the design clean with plenty of white space and easy-to-read typography. I also built out a simple brand guide with core colors, type styles, and social media templates to make sure everything stayed consistent across platforms.
Sitemap

To get started, I mapped out key user types and the different reasons they’d be visiting the site. From there, I recommended organizing articles into two main categories: by theme (like HR or finance) and by Zoho product. This made content way easier to browse. The client approved the structure, and I moved forward with wireframing.
Wireframes

I used Relume, an AI tool, to help with wireframing—it sped things up by generating common components like navigation and content cards. That freed up more time to focus on the details that mattered most to the user experience.
Build
Once the design was approved, I brought it to life in WordPress. I set up the site using categories and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to make content easy to manage and update. Each article and category page was dynamically generated—so when the client adds a new category or post, the layout stays clean and consistent without needing to touch the design.
To make the handoff smooth, I created detailed documentation showing the client exactly how to add new posts, update existing content, and manage categories. Everything was built with usability in mind, so even team members without technical experience could easily keep the site up-to-date.
